What we did
The key requirement for the new Bloomsbury Football website was to create a solution that forms as a digital hub for all types of users, as well as Bloomsbury Football coaches and co-ordinators. The following functionality was scoped out and identified as key areas that were required:
- An event search facility that allows users to search and book onto events based on their location and age
- A 'parent portal' that allows parents to create a profile, add profiles for their children, book them on to team trials and set their availability for upcoming team events as well as booking them onto holiday camps and sessions
- A 'coach portal' that allows Bloomsbury Football coaches to add and edit upcoming matches, send scheduled and ad-hoc emails and text messages out to parents and pick the final squad of players for their matches
- Integration with various 3rd parties such as a CRM, an email marketing platform and an SMS marketing platform
Working with an external designer, we collaborated with them throughout the UX and UI design phases until we had a full set of prototypes ideally placed for the development phase.
We developed a website that allows the marketing team at Bloomsbury Football to add, edit and re-order all components on every page of the website. An eCommerce platform was built into the site to enable Bloomsbury Football to manage all types of events, such as sessions, matches and holiday camps, as well as accepting various payment methods including recurring payments.
