Established in September 2019, Chapman Stickels is a company of independent estate agents, headed by the two founding partners Robert Chapman and Benedict Stickels. The company’s ethos is firmly based on core values – to provide impartial and informed advice on all aspects of residential property, ranging from the marketing and sale of individual village and country houses, development sites, conversions, planning matters and lettings.

What we did

We were tasked with creating brand guidelines and a new website for Chapman Stickels, as well as a visual identity, brand guidelines and a website for The Letting Department - a separate brand providing Residential Lettings services.

Firstly, we created visual identity concepts for The Letting Department, based on a brief detailing the demographics and personas of typical customers as well as researching direct competitors. Once the chosen identity was refined, we created a brand guidelines document for each brand with clearly defined rules for the various elements of the identities.

Finally, we kicked off the website phase of the project. It was important that both websites had a similar structure, so the user journey and experience remained the same between the two websites but the styling differed to reflect the identities of both brands. This requirement formed part of our initial phase where we mapped out a strategy for the user interface and content within the two websites.

The result

Both Chapman Stickels and The Letting Department have a clear set of brand guidelines in place that set a structure for the usage of their logo, typeface and colour pallet, ensuring brand consistency throughout any digital and print collateral.

The websites were built using a WordPress Multisite setup, ensuring staff can edit content for both sites within a single WordPress account. They can edit all content for both websites, using a set of components that have been shared across both sites. All property data is automatically pulled into the website from their estate agency software on a daily basis.
